Vintage dinningroom pictures

Hello :)
I guess I better start to blog more often again, over the summer I didn't have very much time for blogging and crafting/sewing/baking, but I did some projects that I didn't share yet... here is one of them... our diningroom pictures :)

Very easy to make ;) I sprayed the old frames and the cutlery, clued fabric on the back of the pics and the cutlery on the fabric :))) That's it.

We had a nice summer, especially the last 3 weeks, when my sister from germany was here for a visit. We did lots of fun things, which I'm going to share an other time... Now school started again, Lukas joins grade 1 and JJ's preK is going to start on Tuesday :) Than I will have 4 mornings a week just with my baby (mostly sleeping baby :D) So lots time for lots things to do... I can't wait!!!

So, see you hopefully more often the next time ;)

For the teachers and staff in school I made a cake and some small cards from free printables :)

Cowgirl cookie mix

I already tried the ccokie mix here... the recipe is from Bakerella.
This time I made the cowgirl cookies for Melissi's 3rd bithday :)
A bit decoration and ready is the gift :)

my new amazing pincushion

I never had a pincushion but alreasy for a longer time wanted to sew one. But now I had a new idea :) Voila!

 Origionally this was a tealigth from the dollorstore... add some fabric, a styrofoam ball and some hot glue :)

 Now it decorated my sewing table... it was still a bit bleak... not now anymore :)

 The fabric I got from two very nice friends from Germany :) And it fits perfect to my sewing mashine :)

Ahh, I absolutly love it, it is so much joy to see it every day :)))

Ribbon-toy

I saw this idea in some blogs and because Noah Jamie needs to work on his fine motor skills I sewed him this.

 Here is lots to play with, pull, bite and so... Diego is connected with a Velcro strip, so he can play with it even when he is older... The blanket sizzles and tings too :)

 The back with some buttons... to the brown elastic you can also connect a pacifier :) I just forgot to put it on a corner...

Now Noah jamie can work on his fine motor skills ;)
It is also perfect as a gift :)

Cookies from the jar

I've tried something new ... All cookie ingredients filled in a jar ... create your own baking mix, which also looks nice ;)
Here is my first try ...

And the finished cookies to ... They were a little dry, next time I take a little bit more butter or less flour, but they taste good anyway ;)

 


I did no decoration of the glass, with decoration it can be a nice little gift :)
The idea is from Bakerella ... this cowgirl cookies from her, I've planned for Melissi's birthday ;)

Earring holder

My earrings were normaly in a small treasure chest and I had to search for the second one all the time, so I made this earring holder. I love to have my earrings organized now and I have space for more ;) ( I already got 3 new pair :D)

I love the white fabric and the black ribbon and sewed it together. Then I took a cheap canvas (2$ at the dollar store) and fixed the fabric with staples on the back, and ready. It was very easy and it it handy not to search for the second earring all the time :)
Here you can see the white fabric more detailed... I alsolutly love it!!!

Workerbelt / Toolbelt

I sew a worker-tool-belt for Nick for valentine's day... we plan to build a house this summer, so he could use it then ;)
At first I cut 5 pockets, the belt and a piece for hanging in the hammer out of old secondhand-pans.

Fix it with fixingpins...

sew it together and ready...

But I wasn't ready, I wanted to write a slogan on it and I choose this one
