my new amazing pincushion
I never had a pincushion but alreasy for a longer time wanted to sew one. But now I had a new idea :) Voila!
Origionally this was a tealigth from the dollorstore... add some fabric, a styrofoam ball and some hot glue :)
Now it decorated my sewing table... it was still a bit bleak... not now anymore :)
The fabric I got from two very nice friends from Germany :) And it fits perfect to my sewing mashine :)
Ahh, I absolutly love it, it is so much joy to see it every day :)))
Thanks for reading,
Rita

Ribbon-toy
I saw this idea in some blogs and because Noah Jamie needs to work on his fine motor skills I sewed him this.
Here is lots to play with, pull, bite and so... Diego is connected with a Velcro strip, so he can play with it even when he is older... The blanket sizzles and tings too :)
The back with some buttons... to the brown elastic you can also connect a pacifier :) I just forgot to put it on a corner...
Now Noah jamie can work on his fine motor skills ;)
It is also perfect as a gift :)

baby cappy
Last week I sewed a cappy for Noah Jamie. We have often wind here, so I like to put his toque on, but then he is dazzled by the sun... so I put both together in a cappy :) I used the plastic of an older cappy, just cut it smaler.
This pic isn't really clear, but here you can see it from one side...

my sewing desk
Till now I was sewing on the dinning table and that wasn't really practical, but last week we bought a desk at a garagesale. No, actually we don't have room for it, but it is so full here, so we decited to squeeze it in too ;) Now I have my cute sewing corner :) It is not perfekt, but a beginning.
here the desk
The drawers didn't look very nice...
... so I pimed it up a bit :)
Drawers are filled, sewing machine in place... we already had the chair, but only the kids used it for watching cooking and baking in the kitchen. We didn't need it really, ... now we do!!! (We couldn't use it in the dinningroom, because we have a high table)
I fould this lamp yesterday at a garagesale and it fits perfectly and spend nice warm light to my cute sewingcorner!
Here is my sewingcorner and I'm very happy about it!!! :)

Earring holder
My earrings were normaly in a small treasure chest and I had to search for the second one all the time, so I made this earring holder. I love to have my earrings organized now and I have space for more ;) ( I already got 3 new pair :D)
I love the white fabric and the black ribbon and sewed it together. Then I took a cheap canvas (2$ at the dollar store) and fixed the fabric with staples on the back, and ready. It was very easy and it it handy not to search for the second earring all the time :)
Here you can see the white fabric more detailed... I alsolutly love it!!!

Hotwheel T-Shirt
So, here it is... finished this morning...
This is Lukas's Hotwheel T-Shirt... he loves to draw hotwheels and so I took one of his pictures and copies it and sew it on a shirt I sewed... (sorry, I didn't make pics of every step)
at first I made my own pattern of one of his Shirts
copied it on the fabric, cut, sewed together...
striepes for the ends,
sewed and cut of the rest
Cut all Hotwheel pieces from felt and sew them all on this shirt, sewed the lightbeam, wheels and a bit more for more effekts...
and here it is ready!!!!
Lukas was very happy and is proud of his shirt... he already asked me to wear it to church ;) Also I think it is a very amazing memory for later... it's not just keep a piece of paper, now we keep this shirt for him as memory of his amazing drawing!!! He is not even 6 and makes this kind of pics almost every day!!!
Feel free to copy this idea ;) and sorry for my english... i'm still learning...
Wish me luck!!!

Pirate eye-patches
My baby's eye needed to be patched for helping the other eye to move better, but he started to remove the eye-patch (bandage) on his own... and this eye-patch-bandages are really expensive!!! So I decided to sew him an felt eye-patch. The pirate eye-patch didn't work for him, but the big brothers were happy about it ;) and my baby got eye-patch-glases :D
Aren't they cute??? ;)
