I did it! My first wedding cake

I made the wedding cake I tried before (preparation weddingcake) on thursday and friday.

 This was my instruction ;)

 The blue icing covers chocolate spongecake, strawberries and choco whipp ;)

 The white decoration is on

 sprinkled with white chocolate shavings and finally stick the hearts in... ready!!!

I was so happy and relieved when I was done :) and I got such a cute compliment: "Yummiest wedding cake ever" :))) That makes me smile :)

house plans

So, today I show our house plans. In the meantime we have got the blueprints and made the contract with the builders who will build our house ​​in Manitoba. Yeah! Next, we need some estimates, and we hope soon to get the aprovel from the bank! Now, if all goes well, the house could be ready by the end of September, that it can be moved. Then we need to do some things, as kitchen and... and all hook ups have to be done ​​before we can move in. So the plan, let's see how the reality will look like  ;)

Eyedoctor app. June 24th

Last Friday I was with all 3 kids for the eye doctor appointment in Saskatoon. The guys have been through most of the time great, am really proud of them! At least 4 hours drive one-way. First, we were at the Orthoptics. Noah Jamie was doing great and very cooperative. Last time he wasn't ... and has seen at least five striped disks with the right eye, this time he has seen 7:))) Then we went to the doctor, to the new (good) one ;). The doctor was recently at a conference in Vancouver and had personally talked with the two doctors we have to see. We should hear something soon from them, but probably it will not work out with both in one time, because one is pretty full and they are also in different hospitals. The doctor has examined Noah Jamie again and made ​​a video of him so that the doctor in Vancouver has a better idea. But she thinks that "the problem" lies in the nerve, so just something wrong "created" during pregnancy. And she is honest and I like that, she said I would like to say something good, but she doesn't want to make us any hope, because despite today's good medicine, is not all "fixable" ...

So now we're waiting on the MRI and the appointments in Vancouver.

more Flooding pics

Thank you for all who prayed for our city!!! The flooding is much better now. Lots of people with flooded basements are now renovating. Nick helped our frinds (Widemans) with ripping carpet out. But we are still on boil water advisory :(
After I saw pictures of Minots flooding (280km from us) I am so grateful for our "little" flooding here!!! Here some pics from last week.

JJ is already sooo big

JJ has so much grown the past time. He is getting so tall or his pants are getting short ;) He is also learning lots. Today he asked me how to write Martens and I spelled it for him and he wrote it... and not just wrote it, he wrote it upside down, because it was the way he wanted it :D With 3 years and 9 months!!!
He also endet his first year in Minigo/Preschool and he did a good job. Here two pics of the graduation celebration...

 Since Lukas is playing legos, JJ does too. Here he build a monster truck by himself :)

 He also wanted to help with dishes ;) He was sooo careful with the dishes... a bit to careful, like he didn't want to scratch it :D
